Aristotle

“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.” (Aristotle)

When discussing matters such a religion, politics, or ethics it is my pursuit to look beyond what is right or wrong, but to dig deeper into the reasons why. I seek to educate and enlighten and to aid others in forming their own edified conclusions. Nor do I need the affirmation of another to justify my beliefs, because truth does not depend on consensus of opinion.

If my case is based on truth, then hopefully others will come to accept my conclusion as their own. Only someone satisfied in their own arrogance (or ignorance) would despise being challenged. If in case, they claim to merely have difficultly expressing their beliefs, what then is the point of having such strong convictions if you do not wish to bestow them with any worthy purpose?

In summary, this blog’s purpose is to discover, bestow, and rediscover.
